Garden Products List

 
With over 1000 schools registered with the Program across Australia, we are receiving more and more requests from schools for information on where to buy/ how to obtain suitable gardening related products and services to support their organic school garden.
 
To meet these requests and to best support both schools and approved input manufacturers, we are calling for companies with suitable products to participate in a new Garden Products List (GPL).
 
The A-Z list includes gardening inputs which are BFA registered or suitable for use in organic systems as well as details of a range of other suitable suppliers and products such as composting and worm farming systems, hand tools, pots, garden beds etc. As an example as to how these are catalogued, under the letter 'S' schools will find a menu for 'Seed Suppliers' with companies listed from across Australia. To read the complete guidelines please see below or click here to download.

The guidelines for eligible products include;
  • must either be certified or registered as approved for use in certified organic systems or
  • meet the requirements of the Australian Organic Standard
  • must be safe for children to handle
  • must be accessible to schools in appropriately sized amounts for easy handling
  • requires easy access to purchase from a retail sales point, online ordering or other means
All suitable products which are registered/ certified with BFA Group will be given a free basic listing of the company name and product only, with the option to increase your advertising exposure through the options below.
 
BFA products will have a Bud logo displayed next to the product or the abbreviation ‘AP’ (Allowed Product) if registered with a body other than BFA.
 
For companies wanting to have a larger advertising space in the directory there is the option of a Bold company name/logo/weblink plus a maximum 40 word description of the company/product/s. 
 
Companies may apply or make additions at any time throughout the year. The list will be a feature of the BFA Organic School Gardens website (6,000 visits p/month) www.organicschools.com.au in addition to being advertised through the Organic School Gardens e-newsletter (distribution to 12,500 minimum 6 times/year).

  • Garden Products List notice in Organic School Gardens e-newsletter (distribution to 12,500 minimum 6 times/year)
  • In addition to the Schools website, the List will be advertised on the BFA’s consumer website www.whyorganic.com.au for reference by organic gardeners

‘Listing offer includes company name, logo, web link, contact details, and a maximum 40 word description of the company product/s.

$400 ex GST for BFA Group registered/ certified products

$500 ex GST non BFA Group registered/ certified products;
